Josh Friers shared the good news that Homestead Air Reserve Base will open for one day to a limited number of birders on December 9, 2012. There are 10 (ten) spots available and birders must email Josh before Thursday, December 6th for security clearance. The spots are available first come, first served.
Meet at 7:30 AM at the Bx Mart, 920 Bougainville Blvd., Homestead, FL 33039. This is across from the base entrance. If coming from the north, take Exit 5 (SW 288 Street). Bring comfortable shoes, since there will be a lot of walking. Also bring sunscreen, water and snacks. Josh will review base rules and policies. Email him at: joshfriers@hotmail.com
