I found a MacGillivray's Warbler this morning at Tropical Park. It was on the southeast side of the small native patch of Slash Pine in the east side of Tropical Park. From s.w. 40 st. (Bird Road) and s.w.79 ave. drive south into the main entrance of Tropical Park. Follow the winding road south, look for a soccer field on left side and a baseball field on the right side. At the south end of both of these fields is a parking lot on the right side or west side of the road. Park in the first parking spaces here. There will be a paved walking path heading east along the south side of the soccer field. On the right will be a lake. As you walk east pass by a picnic shelter and continue east. The paved path will then turn north along side a beautiful patch of Slash Pine forest. At this turn there is a grassy berm going east, between this berm and the lake is a brushy area with Brazilian Pepper and other exotic brush. Right at the beginning of this berm on the right is where I last saw the MacGillivray's Warbler. It was actively feeding and very vocal at about 11:00 a.m. this morning.

In the tall Australian Pines along here, were several American Goldfinch.
