While relaxing outside in the hot tub late this afternoon, I watched a female Cardinal land on the fence, pause momementarily, then swoop down and grab a Clouded-Sulphur catepillar feeding on the Bahama Cassia growing in my garden. a few moments later a male Cardinal landed on the fence and did the same exact thing....surveyed the Cassia, spotted a choice morsel, and snatched it up. (By the way, I bought the Bahama Cassia at one of TAS' Native Plant Sales last year.) And to top it all off, a beautiful Red-Tailed Hawk flew overhead. The hawk along with the American Redstart, Red-winged Blackbird, and Swallow-tailed Kite I had the other week brings my total number of Yard Birds to 51. Ya Hooo! Live the Life you Love. Love the Life you Live!
