A light morph Swainson s Hawk was soaring north of Aerojet Road Thanksgiving morning. There was a nice variety of ducks that afternoon at West Lake with a couple of Gadwalls, a Redhead, Ruddy Ducks, American Widgeons, Northern Shovelers, Ring-necked Ducks, and a Blue-winged Teal. The Tropical/Couch s Kingbird (has anyone heard it call?) was with two Western Kingbirds at sunset on the power lines at the north end of Aerojet Road. At dusk a female Lesser Nighthawk flew over Lucky Hammock and at least four more appeared over the tree line west of the field.
