Happy Thanksgiving Everybody! Hope everyone enjoys their Turkey Dinners. This Saturday you have an opportunity to work some of those calories off, by participating in our "Shorebird Extravaganza"! We will be kayak/canoeing to Snake Bight to observe shorebirds, waders, and whatever else is out there. This is a 7-9 mile trip from Flamingo, by boat. It is designed for the intermediate kayak/canoer. We meet at the Marina in Flamingo, ENP for a 9:00 am departure. You can bring your own canoe/kayak or rent them from the marina. Bring plenty of water, lunch, hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, and binoculars, and a PFD plus safety equipment if you bring your own boat.
Canoes/kayaks can be rented from the marina. Get there early if you rent. They include paddles and safety gear. Call them at 239-695-3101 for details and pricing. We plan on being back in Flamingo at 3-4 pm. We hope you can make it and you should be able to see PLENTY of birds!
