Like American Goldfinches, Cedar Waxwings are late-season breeders. In New York, I've seen them nesting in August and the normal breeding season runs from June to Sept. It's not unknown for them to wait until October!

The latest I've seen them in Florida so far (in 3 previous waxwings years) is May 8 (a flock of 15).
