During the very cloudy weather today, I was watching a few soaring Turkey Vultures outside. With them were two light morph Short-tailed Hawks circling above. I was able to get fair pics of them despite the poor lighting.

I drove by Cutler Wetlands briefly. A group of Dowitchers were huddled together. A single Avocet was seen a well as a group of Yellowlegs-- tucked. A very nice male Shoveler was feeding. Mottled Ducks and Green-winged Teal were present. A Red-shouldered Hawk stood perched on the No Trespassing sign. It swooped in after a warbler but missed. A single Caspian Tern stood on top of a small rock in the water---it's bright beak standing out even in the dim lighting. Other common waders were seen.
