In Oakland Park for for seasons we have had a pair of humming birds visit every season from Oct to approximately April. A week ago as I was wrapping up my gardening at dusk I felt and heard and felt the typical buzz by my ear when I was close to their prize flower. But it was getting too dark to see. Tonight at dusk I saw what clearly looked and flew like a humming bird feeding from the flowers at dusk but couldn't see the colors because it was dusk. I could even hear the typical sound. But this hummingbird was tinsy, maybe about 1" to 1½". And normally I see them bigger. Could this be a smaller species or a baby that has fledged? It didn't have the shape or antenna of a moth. It had the shape of a hummingbird.
