The cold front (weak as it is) had strong south and southwest winds in front of it. Note on the link radar how the birds from Cuba are picking up on that for a fast flight into Florida. The sequence of radar screens shows a huge passage of birds coming into Florida...and good news...many into the East Coast. Note the bright yellow/orange in the upper left of the radar screen. that was the front approaching Naples from the Northwest. With rain today, this should be a very good two-four day birding event as the critters rummage for the berries and bugs
