Went over to see it about 9 AM this morning. I didn't see anything for about half an hour ( other than a male Kestrel) and just as I was about to leave, the woodpecker appeared on the power line pole, right in the middle.
He( she?) seems to like to fly between the 2 poles in front of the trooper's house. It sits on the very top, so just look and be patient.
This is a definite wine bird!
