: I know that all of southeast Florida has had good birds the last two days, but I thought I'd chime in anyway. I spent about an hour and a half walking the Miami Shores Country Club gulf course this afternoon (6:00- 7:30). The best area for warblers on the gulf course is a medium sized hammock on the south side of the course, east of the railroad tracks. There were 10 warbler species there:
: Northern Parula
: Blackpoll Warbler
: Palm Warbler- maybe my last of the season
: Prairie Warbler
: Black-and-white Warbler
: Black-throated Blue Warbler
: Worm-eating Warbler
: Ovenbird
: American Redstart
: Common Yellowthroat
:
: There was also a Northern Waterthrush working the small pond surrounded by Australian Pines west of the rail road tracks and the canal pump station. This is on the northern part of the gulf course.
:
: Also seen at the gulf course:
: Cattle and Great Egrets
: Great Blue and Tricolored Herons
: Chimney Swift
: Yellow-billed Cuckoo- two
: Orange-winged Parrot- 19; it seems they are roosting here
: Chestnut-fronted Macws- : Red-masked Parakeet- 4
: White-winged Parakeet- 2
: Pileated Woodpecker- 1
: Downy Woodpecker- 1
: Barn Swallow

I'll be in the Miami area Wed and most of Thursday. P Bithorn said that you had some reliable spots in M Shores for y-chevroned and ww parakeets. Could you please send me some directions for a couple spots I can try either early or late on Wed or early Th.

Thanks in advance
Greg(who's visiting from Chicago)
