I had a nice morning of birding today with 8-species of raptors, 8-species of flycatcher, 8-species of duck, 8-species of shorebird, whats up with the eights??

The Tropical Kingbird was located about 2 and a half to 3 miles north from 9336 and what would be s.w. 237 ave. This is the canal just before going into Everglades National Park. There is a dirt road on the east side of this canal and north of 9336 that I rode my bike on.

About a mile out there is a dam where the road goes straight or to the left over the dam. At this dam there was a calling Alder Flycatcher, Least Flycatcher, Great Crested Flycatcher and an Ash-throated Flycatcher. If you continue north, (east side of the canal) a short ways, the road turns west and then back to the north. You continue to the end of this road. There is another dam here which is where the Tropical Kingbird was.

Flycatchers seen:

VERMILION FLYCATCHER
Western Kingbird
TROPICAL KINGBIRD, calling
Least Flycatcher
ALDER FLYCATCHER, calling

Somewhere east of here there are impoundments where I had 8-species of duck:

Ruddy Duck
Blue-winged Teal
Green-winged Teal
Northern Shoveler
Gadwall up to about two dozen
Ring-necked Duck
Mottled Duck
Northern Pintail

Shorebirds seen:

Pectoral Sandpiper, getting kind of late for these.

Raptors seen:

WHITE-TAILD KITE two of them.

I posted a picture of the Tropical Kingbird and a link to video.
