Caught a quick glimpse of what I think was the towhee this morning before everything disappeared due a Sharp-shinned hawk on the hunt. A large Broad-winged Hawk was perched near the entrance yesterday. The Great Horned Owls are still there and can be easily spotted just about any evening (and often during the day) in the open Pine area.
Numerous flycatchers along the west side of the perimeter road. I assumed they were all Phoebes, but I guess I'll have to take a closer look. Not too many warblers - B-T Blue, Palm, Redstart (fem) in the last couple of days. Denise reported 2 Northern Flickers the other day.
