Thanks for taking the time to reply, and causing me to reexamine this matter.

Some of my comments in a separate posting (Nashville versus MGWA) are probably applicable to the Orange-crowned possibility.

My pics are misleading as to coloration of plumage & parts. (The bird was severely backlit in pics 1 & 2 and was in deep shade in pics 3 thru 5.)

Pics 3 thru 5 show very prominent LARGE blackish lores but do not show any dark eye-line to the rear of the eye. They may also show the faintest possible supraloral but probably do not show any supercilium. (Favoring MGWA.)

Pic 1 shows grayish hood. Pics 3 thru 5 show blackish necklace separating hood from remainder of underparts. (Favoring MGWA.)

Probably a MGWA (not adult male). The Birds of North America Online says MGWA legs get darker with age.
