I started this morning at Bill Sadowski Park and saw my first Scarlet Tanager. He was beautiful. There was no way to miss him.
I also saw:
Black and White
Black Throated Blue
Northern Parula
Red Start
Palm Warbler
Worm Eating
Indigo Bunting
Saw these in about 30 minutes. I had a meeting to go to.
After the meeting I decided to go an see the Burrowing Owls at Tamiami Airport. Only saw one out but got a few good photos.
Then I headed up to A D Barnes. I walked the hammock for about an hour and didn't see much, but around 5pm Rock Jetty and Bill (sorry I forgot the last name) showed up and I follow them around the hammock and saw quite a few species. Not by the hundreds, but enough for me...
A D Barns List:
Palm
Black and White
Black Poll
Black Throated Blue
Hooded
Prairie
Worm Eating
Oven Bird
Female Scarlet Tanager
Northern Parula
Brown Thrasher
Rock Jetty saw a Swainsan's Thrush next to the parking lot by the pond.
I had a great day.
