My main concern is the extent of access rather than the days of access -- but thanks for your confirmation, Brian.
I have not yet heard back from SFWMD but I am 99% certain that you will find locked gates clearly marked "No Access" if you were to take the bike/hiking paths from the public access kiosks. If you ignored these signs and proceeded anyway, you would be trespassing and subject to arrest.
