ENP: Vermillion again

Vermillion flycatcher was absent Thursday morning until 10:00 AM when it appeared on the barb wire fence. Unfortunately right in an area where you could not get a clear shot without wire in the picture. Other than that the only birds in the pump station area were palm warblers, many kestrels and ground dove were plentiful. Mourning dove were in good numbers. Catbirds prevalent along the Lucky Hammock Road.

Speaking of Lucky Hammock: would a work day to clean up the exotics and open the vegetation a bit be a good idea? Certainly enough people draw pleasure from it to pitch in and help.
