For visitors to the area see the link below for some pictures by local photographer Aida of what's "out and about." There are also some current references to Bear Island and Kirby Storter. This might be helpful to those strangers among us that would like to know where to go and what's to see.

Also, for very good, easy, and comfortable view of nesting black-necked stilt keep Wakodahatchee in mind. There is a nesting pair there sitting on week two of incubation. For the photographers in the TAS...this is a 6 inch putt. Don't even brag about this setup because it is a "gimme".

And for TAS members with undying faith in the presence of starl reality...perhaps, just perhaps the downy woodpecker will return to the nesting cavity in the maple on the south walk. She went to an awful lot of work making the cavity before someone disturbed her by cutting away protecting covering branches.
