Susan Schneider, a former active TAS member and birder, moved from South Florida to California several years ago. While in the Miami area, Susan conducted animal behavior research at FIU and worked on a book titled _The Science of Consequences: How They Affect Genes, Change the Brain, and Impact Our World_. It covers the principles of learning from consequences, their larger nature-and-nurture context, and their wide range of applications--for people and animals alike. The book will be launched in mid-November at the Miami Book Fair International and I'm sure Susan has references to birds and/or birders in the book!
