I got there kind of late... 1:30 or so and waited till about 4:00 pm to see the bird... Nice!
Took one OK photo from long distance so I'll show it (even though it isn't all that good) due to the effort put in to see my first Dade County Red-headed Woodpecker.
I had the pleasure of meeting Brigitte on my way out..she's the one who found the bird. She was very nice and birds the park just about every day while walking her dogs... I thanked her for sharing the bird quickly on TAS Bird Board. She said she will post any other rarities she finds. It's nice to know there is someone birding the area frequently. Kudos to Brigitte for a great find.
