yellow billed cuckoo on South Beach

My wife Jackie and I were sitting on our deck early last evening, about 6:15pm, and we were treated to a yellow billed cuckoo perched in a tree across the street, here on Española Way. It stayed for about 10 minutes, allowing us terrific views of it, and then was gone. Since we're returning to Boston this weekend, this made for a perfect ending to a season of uncommon birds seen in Miami Beach.

I'd like to thank all the group leaders and fellow birders for some wonderful TAS trips, and look forward to seeing you all next winter. As Paul Bithorn has been known to say on occasion, "Life is good!"
