Today during the TAS A.D. Barnes bird walk led by Gigi Pardo, I caught a short glimpse of a Myiarchus type flycatcher just south of the fountain and east of the chickee. Felipe Guajardo originally found the bird and called me over, and I only saw the back of the bird. It was much smaller than a Great-crested, and less contrasting, bold color on the wing. That is pretty much all I saw in the brief time I got to see it, and it flew off towards the Chickee. An Acadian Flyactcher was also in the area, in fact while Felipe and I watched it, the rest of the group was on the Acadian. There was a bit of confusion to whether the bird was a La Sagra's or Acadian, but there were obviously two birds, and only a couple of us saw both of them.
Since Gigi Pardo plans to post the trip report, I will only post that I went back to Homeless Hammock and then back to the chickee area to refind the flyactcher. At Homeless Hammock, I found a beautiful male Rose-breasted Grosbeak (someone else saw the bird briefly; sorry, I didn't catch your name), Summer Tanager, a couple Black-throated Blues, Cape May Warbler, at least five Worm-eating, and a Swainson's Warbler.
