I stopped today for some "shirt & tie" birding at Dove Creek Hammock. The place was extremely birdy, especially for 11:30 in the morning! In 30 minutes there, I had swarms of Palm Warblers (at least 3-4 dozen); there were good numbers of Prairie Warblers and Indigo Buntings as well. I had a FOTS Black-whiskered Vireo calling from across the road (on bay side), an FOTS Common Nighthawk (roosting, the first time I can remember that for a FOTS nighthawk) and a soaring Broad-winged Hawk, with a total of 7 warblers (Palm, Prairie, Parula, B&W, Redstart, Cape May, Common Yellowthroat).
