Nine birders - with experience ranging from nil to extensive - joined me under threatening skies for our walk at AD Barnes this morning. The rain held off for the most part, and the breeze and cloudy skies made for pleasant birding weather, and the enthusiastic birders made it a pleasant day out.
Best bird of the day was found by Paul, a PHILADELPHIA VIREO in the fig in the center of Homeless Hammock, where we walked in on our 2nd pass of the day, a lifer for most of the group. Beyond that, we had 3 other vireo species, 12 warblers, and both Spot-breasted and Baltimore Orioles.
