Vince,
Perhaps you have not noticed the rain during the last couple months? I know inflammatory criticism instead of productive suggestions is your preferred media, still, I would love to hear your recommendations on how you would like the water levels managed.

: Just when I thought that the whole bridge/crossover issue at Tigertail Beach on Marco Island was kaput, here we go again. This time with a tram being proposed! Sigh. Read about it:

: Speaking of Tigertail Beach, the Least Terns are on territory as are Black Skimmers.

: Not much happening birdwize over here in Collier County. The water levels at Eagle Lakes Community Park are very high and there is no good shorebird habitat. Will the Powers That Be ever learn to correctly regulate the water levels here? One Yellow-headed Blackbird (much brighter yellow in color than in the past few months)is still hanging out on Greenway Rd. It can usually be seen late in the PM (6:30PM or so) sitting on the telephone lines near Ladybug Farms. Up to 5 Scissor-tailed Flycatchers are still in the Fritchey Rd.-Greenway Rd. area and the Broad-winged Hawk is still around as well. Further afield, there are still several Scissor-tailed Flycatchers out on C.R. 858 near the Hendry County Correctional Facility. . . .
