Orchard orioles observed in the Strangler fig at Loxahatchee. This would be the giant fig in the parking area where the big chickee used to be prior to the hurricanes of last year. The orioles were prominent in the tree and a colorful contrast to about 25-30 catbirds that would feed in the tree also...then fly away into the willows..then come back in about 15 minutes.
Never, ever, have I observed as many catbirds as this year.
