I stopped this afternoon to check out the service road and west side to add to the few birds I picked up in the morning on the east side. The service road had almost nothing heading down, and the area where it opens up was also very quite. I walked north along the west edge of the hammock and picked up a warbler or two. Past the group of 6-7 large palms there is a small fruiting fig that had some activity. I pished and first bird to come out was a Tennessee, second one was a Nashville. Coincidence? The Nashville was very cooperative, but I couldn't wait for it to come closer due to an coming shower. As I headed back to the service road a Mississippi Kite did a circle overhead and was quickly chased away by a Mockingbird. Wimp! Heading back on the service road I picked up a Swainson's Warbler. So, I ended up with 13 warbler species, including Nashville, Tennessee.....wait, oh I get it!
