This afternoon between 4 and 5 PM, I birded a very birdy A.D. Barnes. I found a Philadelphia Vireo in the just north of Homeless Hammock. There are two live oaks on the northern periphery of the hammock with some Florida trema in between - this is directly south of the exercise station. The Philly Vireo was feeding along with Red-eyed Vireos, a Yellow-throated Vireo (a second one of these was scolding behind me), B-G Gnatcatchers, and Northern Parulas. The Least Flycatcher with the slight yellowish wash (probably the same one Toe initially found) was calling incessantly and following me around.
Also in the vicinity was a Worm-eating Warbler and somewhat nearby were Chestnut-sided and Magnolia Warblers. Great late afternoon birding!
Bird on south Florida and remember, eBird is your friend.
Mi nombre es Jetty.
