Hi!
I'm a Swedish birder who spent ten days in Florida from the 24th of March to the 3rd of April. Now I'm compiling my trip list why I wonder if any of the following birds are countable according to ABA (I guess not but it's better to ask ...):
# Mitred Parakeet (seen at Baptist Hospital)
# Common Myna (seen in Florida City)
# Hill Myna (seen at Baptist Hospital)
# Whooping Crane (seen close to Joe Overstreet Road).
Please reply to tu@skolor.osby.se

The following records were the highlights of my trip:
#American Bittern 1 at Eagle Lakes 30/3
#White-tailed Kite 1 at Research Road (old missile site) 25/3
# Upland Sandpiper 4 at Joe Overstreet Road 2/4
# Groove-billed Ani and Smooth-billed Ani at Ft. Lauderdale Airport 3/4.
# Lesser Nighthawk 4 at Lucky Hammock 25/3
# Bell's Vireo 1 at Flamingo Cottages 26/3
# Shiny Cowbird 1 at Castellow Hammock Park 27/3

The species that I wanted to see but that proved hard to find were Mangrove Cuckoo (tried Saddlebunch Key for example), Black-Whiskered Vireo (tried for example Key Largo Hammock Botanical Site and Bailey Tract), Red-cockaded Woodpecker (tried both morning and evening at Hunter's Camp, Three Lakes WMA) and Roseate Tern (tried for example at Fort Zachary Taylor, Key West). All in all I saw 179 species in the ten days and I'm very satisfied with the trip to Florida!
Kind regards Robert Tuveson
