Matheson Hammock was pretty birdy today, but the theme of the day was quantity over diversity with birds evenly scattered throughout the park:

Cooper's Hawk
American Kestrel
Merlin
Peregrine Falcon
Yellow-billed Cuckoo
Ruby-throated Hummingbird: 3
Great Crested Flycatcher: 2
White-eyed Vireo: 4
Yellow-throated Vireo: 2
Red-eyed Vireo: 24
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher: 20
Swainson's Thrush: 3
Gray Catbird
Ovenbird: 15
Black-and-white Warbler: 3
Common Yellowthroat: 6
American Redstart: 15
Cape May Warbler
Northern Parula: 10
Black-throated Blue Warbler: 35
Palm Warbler: 2
Yellow-throated Warbler: 4
Prairie Warbler: 6

Exotics included several flyover Yellow-chevroned Parakeets and the small resident flock of Nutmeg Mannikins.
