Despite an intensive search effort to locate the Mt. Trashmore White-cheeked Pintails this afternoon (10/7), Josh Friers, Larry Manfredi, Bob Wallace, myself and others were unable to do so. There are may places for waterfowl to hide in the grasses surrounding the wetland ponds. Josh said that he plans to continue searching for the WHIPs and will let the birding community know if he spots them again. Thanks again Josh, for all of your efforts. John
