Just before dusk I heard the familiar whistling of a Cockatiel nearby. As I surveyed My Avocado tree, I saw it on a lower large branch nibbling on Avocado leaves. I tried to coax it down, but with no luck. The way it responded, it acted as if were used to being around people----probably someone's pet. This is the third Cockatiel I've heard in my neighborhood in the last several years.I have multiple feeders, but I am not sure it saw them. I will see if it returns tomarrow. Ovenbird remains--- evidently quite content with the multitude of leaves in my yard to search through.
