I spent 2.5 hours searching for the cuckoo. I did not see the bird, and less birds were present today than two days ago. I quietly came up with Least Flycatcher, Red-eyed and White-eyed Vireos, two Veery, Swainson's Thrush, Gray Catbird, ten warbler species (none being "marquis") and Summer Tanager.

From what I've gathered, Black-billed Cuckoos migrating through Florida are not likely to be found on back-to-back days. I've found that Yellow-billed Cuckoos often keep on the move while migrating, usually not staying in one location for more than a few hours. Black-billed Cuckoos are likely the same in this respect. In other words, when migrating cuckoos are reported, it is best to get to the location within hours. I've missed up to four Black-billed Cuckoos at migrant traps because I was hours late.
