I birded these two parks from 4:00-6:15 this afternoon after rain showers in NW Miami-Dade. Highlights among fifteen warbler species were Blackburnian and Hooded Warblers.
Red-shouldered Hawk- 1
Merlin- 1
Ruby-throated Hummingbird- 4
Least Flycatcher- 1
Eastern Kingbird- 25
Red-eyed Vireo- 10
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher- 20
Swainson's Thrush- 8
Ovenbird- 25
Worm-eating Warbler- 12
Louisiana Waterthrush- 1
Northern Waterthrush- 4
Black-and-white Warbler- 7
Tennessee Warbler- 1
Common Yellowthroat- 5
Hooded Warbler- 1; female feeding in open area just east of the playground. the last area I saw it in was the butterfly garden.
American Redstart- 6
Cape May Warbler- 3
Northern Parula- 15
Blackburnian Warbler- 1; female at fig over the playground
Black-throated Blue Warbler- 5
Yellow-throated Warbler- 2
Prairie Warbler- 4
Baltimore Oriole- 2
