Baby GBH doing well at Wakodahatchee but mom/dad didn't seem too interested in the afternoon food demands of the fledglings-to-be. The limpkin is wailing, but remains somewhat hidden, the population is down by about half which means the other half are sitting on eggs. Black-necked stilt is working the small SE island and Green-back herons are everywhere. The one with the "close-in nest" is brooding happily although the nest is not what you would call a "going concern." I've seen mourning dove do better than that. But if it works, that's all that is required.
