I birded at A. D. Barnes Park this morning from about the time the first wave of rain eased up until a little after noon. The most interesting birds were a couple of Swainson s Warblers, a Chestnut-sided warbler, Tennessee Warblers, Swainson s Thrushes, and Scarlet Tanagers. There was also an interesting Empidonax that may be a Willow, it looked like a Trail s type with little or no eye ring and a conspicuous loral line. Its call was softer and more liquid than any Alder Flycatchers I have heard and completely unlike that of Acadian or Least Flycatchers. It was in the Florida Tremas west of the trail in the northeast corner of Homeless Hammock.
