For fourteen years, the blue and yellows have been coming to my back yard feeder. I haven't had a single macaw show up in over a month and have contacted two other feeders ( near the U of M and Coral Reef) who have also reported that the macaws are gone. Three years ago , the flock numbered 36 (24 per Bill Pranty 2010). Usually, I'd get 9 to 11 birds. The number has been declining drastically (Dec, bird count only had 9) and for the last few months I've only had 3 parrots show up. Poaching? Relocation? White Fly spraying? Predation?
