I don't know how common the Black-necked Stilt are here, but I saw my first at Matheson Hammock near the shore just the other side of the mangrove trees this evening. I almost had a nice photo, but a motorcycle zoomed by and scared it away.
I also went back over on the west side of Old Cutler where we saw the White Crowned Pigeon on Saturday and saw 2 Peacocks and an Orange-crested Warbler(my first).
I counted a dozen Myna's and 4 different kinds of parrots. Saw one of the Pileated and several Red-bellied Woodpeckers. Also saw a Swallow-tailed kite circle around the park for about 10 minutes.
It was a beautiful day and was glad I went out for a walk in the park.
