Barnes TAS walk, April 3

It was a nice morning at Barnes, made even nicer by the presence of a Carolina Chickadee. The chickadee was seen at the side of the hammock near the park road and later in the nature trail section of the pinelands.

Other birds seen included 10 species of warbler (Orange-crowned, Parula, Magnolia, Myrtle, Yellow-throated, Pine, Prairie (lots), Black-and-white, Redstart, and Worm-eating), Blue-headed, Red-eyed, and Black-whiskered Vireos, Hermit Thrush, Brown Thrasher, Chimney Swift, Chestnut-fronted Macaw, Glossy Ibis (flyover), and Mottled Duck (in the pond). Spot-breasted Oriole was heard singing, but I don't think anyone saw it.
