: Four Sacred Ibis (origin unknown) were seen on Saturday at Dump Marsh by birders on Tropical Audubon's South Dade birding trip. Several ducks were still present: Blue-winged and Green-winged Teal, Mottled Duck, American Wigeon (one seen), Northern Shoveler (one seen), and Northern Pintail (one barely seen). A few American White Pelicans are also still present; a Spotted Sandpiper and a few Greater Yellowlegs were also seen.

: Dump Marsh is on SW 248 Street in South Miami-Dade County, across from the landfill.

: I was visiting Metro Zoo yesterday 3-23, the ibis were there. There is also a nest with a young bird. The person that I spoke to at the zoo did not know much about this bird.
She called it an Egyptian Ibis. She told me "they just flew in and made themselves at home", they seem to like to hang out with the flamingoes.
