Parked near the swimming pool and saw a yellow billed cuckoo in the tall oak tree to the west. The YBC was eating a black fuzzy caterpillar. We walked the park and returned about an hour later near the swimming pool area, where again the yellow-billed cuckoo was foraging black caterpillars at the top of the oak tree. This time, it was being harassed by three loud blue-jays that seemed interested in stealing the caterpillar.
