Excellent first day at the Florida Keys Hawkwatch

Today was an excellent first day at the Florida Keys Hawkwatch, with a total of 234 raptors. Falcons are already on the move, and kites continue their passage through the Keys. Below are the raptor totals. The morning survey and non-raptor migration count from the Curry Hammock site resulted in a total of 66 bird species. Visit the FKH site for more details on all species and numbers seen.
