Prevailing E-ENE winds during the last two nights have pushed migrating birds inland. The rain is putting them down. If the front would have tracked back north instead of fizzling out, we would stand the chance of seeing something similar to last October's stack-up!

Has anyone birded any other inland migrant traps today or yesterday to compare to Barnes?

Over here on the coast small numbers of migrants were seen today.  Best bird being a single Blue Grosbeak. 

Last night while listening for flight calls we heard our first thrush flight calls of the fall, along with several warbler calls.
