Is it possible for you to take a picture of this bird? This would be very helpful and would definitely prompt an immediate reply with correct identification from our community of helpful and knowledgeable birders. As it is, we don't have much to go on and a Barred Warbler is not something that even experienced birders would initially consider. In fact, I don't think a Barred Warbler has ever been recorded in North America (I could be wrong). My advice to beginners (and experienced ones too) is to first look through a field guide of North American birds. Of course if this does not provide the wanted results, then one has to always consider the possibility of an accidental species or an escaped exotic. Again, if you're able to take a picture of this bird I'm sure it'll help.
