While I applaud you effort, I have a couple of questions and comments.
Websites grow from conception. I wonder how long it will be before you are basically duplicating exactly what the TAS website does.
Avoid including dated info. Your references to your ABA count and your county total will change with every new bird you see. Are you going to update them? Besides that, giving such numbers without solicitation is tacky.
Your pictures should have at least the name of the bird, if not the location of the photo.
Concerning the highlights of what you have seen and the places you have been: why is that included? Are you trying to build some sort of credentials?
The Pranty guide is far outdated. I know a revision is coming sometime this decade, but until it comes out this book has severe limitations. Plus, it might tick people off to suggest they get a copy of this old book, only to have a new version show up a month later.
If you are including information about statewide guides, why not include the Great Florida Birding Trail guides?
I'm sure the tour guides you mentioned are happy to have you include yourself in their mix.....and at a fraction of the cost!
This one's important: You really should have someone (or several people) proofread what you write before going live on the web with it. The mistakes in spelling, grammar and word usage will drive your readers away.
