It's interesting you mention the blue-winged teal - I *thought* I saw a pair out in the middle area, but wrote them off as something else as it seemed early for them. Maybe that's what I saw after all. The least bitterns are leaving it seems - I did see one on Saturday, but had been seeing 5-10 each visit over the past few months...didn't spot an American bittern yet this fall...they were common through April there.

Did you happen to get a second confirm or backup on the Connecticut warbler? I'd love to hear someone else spotted it just to confirm that's what it was.

I'd like to see the summer tanager - didn't catch that one. Ovenbird was there again on Saturday like the week before, mixing it up on the ground with the brown thrasher. And I saw my first northern waterthrush there back in April...it'll be nice to know they're returning to Green Cay this year.
