Today I had the first double digit warbler day of the year. And all in Miami Shores. I had eight by 9:00 am, and realized I could see two or three more, and headed to the Miami Shores Country Club gulf course.
Orange-crowned Warbler - second in Miami Shores this year!
Northern Parula
Yellow-rumped Warbler- only a couple left
Palm Warbler- also in lower numbers
Prairie Warbler- at least 10
Black-throated Green Warbler
Yellow-throated Warbler- gulf course
Worm-eating Warbler- gulf course
American Redstart- first male of the year
Common Yellowthroat
Other species included American Kestrel, two Broad-winged and one Cooper's Hawks, Ruby-throated Hummingbird, Chimney Swift, Red-eyed and Blue-headed Vireo, and Painted Bunting.
