The La Sagra's Flycatcher is still being seen just west of Delray
Beach. It was seen this morning between pump house number 6 and pump
house number 4. Also seen were several Painted Buntings and a Limpkin.

Yesterday Lucky Hammock had many Indigo and Painted Buntings,
Dickcissel, Yellow-breasted Chat and Bell's Vireo. Spring is here for
sure, many of these birds were in full song!

A trip to the Dry Tortugas on Sunday produced 3 species of warbler,
Masked and Brown Booby, Northern Gannet, Sooty Tern, Brown Noddy,
Magnificent Frigatebird, Cave, Cliff and Barn Swallow and Purple
Martin. The inlet that used to be between Garden Key and Bush Key has
filled in even more than last spring. Roy the law enforcement ranger
has roped off the Tern colony, you can now get much closer to the
nesting birds than last year!! Thanks Roy!! The path on the north side
of the fort near the brick pile, has been washed hard my winter storms.
There is not much of it left to walk on, you can still walk on the
opposite side of the brick pile though.

A trip to Everglades National park yesterday produced singing Cape Sable
Seaside Sparrows. A flock of 4 Common Mynas were flying south along the
main road towards Flamingo. C.J. or Byrant have you seen them in
Flamingo yet??? The parking lot is great habitat for them!!
