Paul, can you clarify what area you mean for the Virginia Rail? Earlier in the winter one was often seen as you descend the boardwalk by the second handrail around the "bullrushes" sign, but I cannot place the area you are describing. do you remember if there is a number anywhere along the railing near where you saw the bird? thanks!
A Virginia Rail was seen by the shelter to the east of the concrete area.
