Black-billed Cuckoos migrate through Florida in low numbers during both spring and fall, so it's not unexpected to find them here right now. Another was seen earlier this week at Kendall Indian Hammocks Park in Miami-Dade. While they prefer to eat caterpillars, they'll eat other insects, both adult and larval, during migration.
